* For the record: This will be an interesting matchup between two 24-5 teams. The Pirates had some tough regular season games against the likes of Elyria and Edison, but Keystone’s schedule wasn’t easy either.
Perkins came close the last two years, falling in the district final to Clear Fork and Maumee. The Pirates’ key will be keeping Keystone’s Summer Constable off base to avoid the ignition of any rallies. Keystone has the pitching edge, but Perkins pitcher Emily Lipstraw has been tough during the tournament, allowing just two runs through 21 innings. Expect the Wildcats’ bats to be the difference.
