
Lorain County Community College announced it will hold free adult learner online information sessions to help community members transition to college.
Sessions include:
• Career Explorations for the Adult Learner — Finding your Fit. It will take place 1-2 p.m., July 28; and 11 a.m. to noon, Aug. 12
Attendees will learn how to successfully launch a career change, as well as gain knowledge on in-demand careers and financial aid. Individuals will also learn how personalized career coaching and tools can assist with new career path selection.
This workshop serves as a starting point to connect individuals to career and academic advisors before enrolling.
• Gaining Skills Through a Hands-On Paid Apprenticeship. 10-11 a.m., Aug. 31
LCCC partners with local organizations and employers to provide support and training in a variety of apprenticeship programs including those in automation, CNC machining, electrical, Emergency Medical Services, maintenance, pipefitting, State Tested Nurse Assistant, tool & die and other careers.
