For the record: For the first time since Week 1 in 2021, Vermilion got itself in the win column, snapping a 19-game losing streak. The Sailors come into the 2023 edition of the Stillman Cup with some steam. The same cannot be said for the Falcons, who fell to Edison, 35-6. Firelands went into the 2022 Stillman Cup 1-1 and defeated Vermilion, 42-12. Vermilion is coming off a last-minute victory over Margaretta (21-14), in which it had to make a game-winning drive and make a defensive stop to close out the Polar Bears. If the Sailors can keep the game close, it would not be surprising to see pull out another win.
