For the record: Last year’s edition of North Ridgeville and Valley Forge was truly a thrilling game. The Rangers trailed the Patriots, 20-7 in the fourth quarter. They scored 14 unanswered points to win, 21-20 at Byers Field. Valley Forge appears to be in a rebuild after they lost All-Ohioans on both sides of the ball and three of its four all-district players. The Patriots fell to Gilmour Academy, 35-6, at home, in Week 1. North Ridgeville is the complete opposite as they returned 15 starters and defeated North Olmsted, 41-7. North Ridgeville should be favored to win, but anything can happen on a given Friday night.
