For the record: Clearview’s 36-8 revenge win over Toledo Scott was a great start to its season against a larger school. The Clippers will make the jump to Division II to take on the Rangers at Lakewood. Lakewood defeated Cleveland John Marshall, 48-12. If Clearview can pull out a win, it would play great for seeding in the Division V Region 17 tournament. Quarterback Cy Christensen threw for 288 yards and two touchdowns. The defense impressed in its debut to shut out the Bulldogs’ offense after the first quarter.
