Trey Fix-Wolansky scored 3 minutes, 21 seconds into overtime on an assist from goalie Jet Greaves, and the Monsters won, 4-3, at Syracuse on Dec. 22. Cleveland won its fourth in a row and improved to 18-7-1-0. Fix-Wolansky scored two goals and has nine for the season. Jake Gaudet and Alex Whelan also tallied for Cleveland. Both scored their first of the season. Greaves stopped 16 shots. The Monsters remain in New York to face Utica on Dec. 23.

Luca Del Bel Belluz scored 2 minutes, 28 seconds into overtime to lift the Monsters over host Hartford, 4-3. The first-place Monsters improved to 14-5-1-0. Carson Meyer scored two goals, both in the second period, to give him 11 for the season. Cameron Butler also had a goal. Daniil Tarasov saved 36 of the 39 shots he faced. Cleveland’s three-game trip continues Dec. 8 at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
