At 2:25 p.m., officers noticed Molly as he was driving a Ford Taurus east on Middle Avenue near 9th Street failing to stop prior to sidewalks, the report noted.

Molly pulled over.

As the officers approached the vehicle, one saw plastic baggies with torn ends and what appeared to be an open can of alcoholic beverage on the floor board, the report stated.

When asked if she had any weapons or anything illegal such as narcotics, Cooper told the officers she consented to a search, according to the report.

An officer then located a pill bottle with a drawn picture of a marijuana leaf in her right front jacket pocket, and the pill bottle appeared to have powder residue, the report stated.

“Cooper immediately stated the pill bottle was not hers,” the report stated.

She further told officers she picked up the pill bottle from inside of her garage believing it was her marijuana bottle and she thought the bottle that she picked up was her neighbor’s, the report stated.

Cooper became uncooperative when asked who her neighbor was, according to the report.

A consent search of Molly didn’t reveal anything, the report stated.

Officers seized 27.9 grams of fentanyl power, 6.4 grams of methamphetamine powder as well as several other bottles with unknown substances and residue in them in addition to six pipes with residue in them from the Taurus, the report stated.

“Molly stated his drug of choice was crack cocaine, he additionally stated he has been sober for approximately two months but hasn’t cleaned out his vehicle yet,” the report noted.

Both were arrested without incident and transported to the Lorain County Jail where they remained Nov. 30 awaiting court appearances in Elyria Municipal Court.

Sugar Ridge Towing arrived on scene and towed the Taurus, the report noted.
